Armando Gabriel Louis Goedgedrag is in 1989 in Stadskanaal geboren. Samen met zijn ouders migreerde hij in 1991 naar Aruba. Na de middelbare school te hebben doorlopen ging hij naar Nederland om in Leeuwarden Communication & Multimedia Design te studeren.[2] Daarna behaalde hij zijn Master in Animatie aan de Academie voor Kunst en Vormgeving St. Joost. Na zijn studie is hij in 2013 naar zijn eiland teruggekeerd en ging hij “de natuur pas echt goed verkennen.” Samen met collega fotografen heeft hij de Arubaanse natuur op foto’s en films vastgelegd; met name de bedreigde dieren en planten. Ondertussen ontwikkelde hij ook een andere passie: de zee: “Ik ben een fervente body boarder en surfer. Ik vind het heerlijk mij te ontspannen in de golven, waarbij het prachtige schouwspel van kleur, licht en geluid elke keer opnieuw een fantastische ervaring is.” De jonge kunstenaar zet zich in voor de bewustwording van de waarde van de Arubaanse natuur bij de Arubaanse jeugd. Hij is niet alleen natuurliefhebber, maar ook een natuurbeschermer. Daarvoor legt hij bezoeken af aan scholen, vooral kleuterscholen. Ook is hij actief in Korteweg, een vereniging van jeugdige kunstenaars, die de kunst weer onder de aandacht wil brengen in de samenleving.
Armando Goedgedrag is a painter, photographer and multimedia specialist who enjoys developing his natural talents. He started drawing at the age of two and started painting with acrylic at the age of 16. He’s often inspired by nature especially Aruba’s nature. One of his goals is to bring awareness of the beauty of nature that surrounds us. Armando was born in the Netherlands and grew up on Aruba. After graduating Colegio Arubano, he went to the Netherlands to continue his studies. There he attained his Bachelor’s degree in Communication and Multimedia Design followed by his Master’s degree in Animation. He’s currently living on the Island where his daily involvement in the preservation and awareness of the nature and beauty of Aruba is making a difference.
