Nederlands: Negatief 'Rotstekeningen van indianen bij Piedra Plat' Arawak zijn de mensen die je in grote delen van het Caraïbisch gebied, de Guyanas en Brazilië kon en kunt aantreffen. Een andere naam voor hen op de eilanden waren de Taino, waartoe weer de Caiquetio behoorden die op Aruba en Bonaire zaten. Deze volken zijn daar vanaf ca. 2500 vC gekomen. De rotstekeningen op de foto zijn van ouder datum en kunnen met enige waarschijnlijkheid worden toegeschreven aan de Dabajuro cultuur (3480-2325 vC). 1937 Afmetingen van het werk: 8,5 x 11,4cm (3 3/8 x 4 1/2in.) |
